Gregg Bennett
Dr. Gregg Bennett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Kinesiology. Dr. Bennett is the Director of the Sport Marketing Laboratory at Texas A & M University and founder of the Sport Marketing Association, an international organization focusing on the development of sport marketing. His primary research line focuses on effective event marketing. He is married to Sherry and is the proud father of Matthew, Bailey, McKenzie, and Cade.
Shane Hudson
Shane Hudson has experience as coordinator and lecturer in the division of sport management. Hudson’s area of expertise is performance and organizational development in sports, with the focal point of his work intercollegiate athletics and student athletes. Hudson received his bachelor’s and master’s from Oklahoma State University and his doctorate from Texas A&M University.
Adrien Bouchet
Adrien Bouchet is currently a Lecturer in the Division of Sport Management at Texas A&M University. Prior to his arrival in Texas, Mr. Bouchet served as the Associate General Manager of Hurricanes Sports Properties, the multi media rights holder of the University of Miami Hurricanes athletic department. In this capacity Mr. Bouchet handled corporate sponsorship sales for the university as well as the Orange Bowl. During his tenure with the Dolphins and Marlins, Bouchet at various times worked in the ticket sales, sponsorship sales and marketing departments. From 1998-1999, Bouchet served as Senior Director, Collegiate Marketing and Business Development for SFX Sports/Clear Channel Entertainment. In that capacity, Bouchet oversaw the company’s collegiate ticket sales consulting division where he designed, built, and supervised the ticket sales departments at the University of Miami. He also consulted with the University of Connecticut, University of Maryland, and Western Kentucky University regarding ticket sales issues. He was also involved in the company’s naming rights business which at the time secured the largest naming rights deal in college athletics on behalf of the University of Maryland as well as consulted with SFX/Clear Channel Entertainment’s company owned music amphitheatres regarding ticket sales and naming rights issues.
Paul Batista
Dr. Batista has practiced law for over 30 years, primarily in Caldwell, Texas. He has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, and is licensed to appear in all of the courts in Texas, including the Texas Supreme Court. Dr. Batista has also served as County Judge of Burleson County, Texas, handling the administrative duties of the county, as well as presiding over the County Court hearing civil, criminal, juvenile, probate, and other types of cases. He is a certified Mediator and Arbitrator. He was a NCAA scholarship athlete (baseball) and was a certified Contract Advisor with the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) from 1984 through 1997.
George Cunningham
Dr. Cunningham is the Chair and an Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Kinesiology. Dr. Cunningham is also the Director of the Labratory for Diversity in Sport. His research interests are in the areas of diversity, group processes, and employee attitudes. He is one of only 19 Research Fellows of the North American Society for Sport Management, has published over 70 articles related to these topics, and is author of the recent textbook entitled Diversity in Sport Organizations.
John Singer
Through his research, Singer has explored the impact that professors’ teaching and research has on students and the various stakeholder groups in the sports industry. Singer seeks to understand the impact that race and racism has on sport management research, education and practice.
